🎸πŸ”₯ Get ready for a night of soul-stirring blues with Geoff Achison at The Westernport on April 28th! 🌟

Born in Phillip Island, Victoria, Geoff's musical journey kicked off when he stumbled upon an old guitar beneath his family home's stairwell.

Guided by local jazz musician Alan Watson, Geoff's early gigs were with his dad's old-time dance band. A brief switch to bass-guitar provided a deeper understanding of the rhythm section. Geoff's fascination with American blues led to the development of a unique playing style, incorporating inventive techniques to mimic echo/delay effects.

Geoff relocated to Melbourne in 1987, playing lead guitar for blues legend 'Dutch' Tilders. He released his debut album 'Big Machine' in 1994 and clinched the prestigious 'Albert King Award' at the 'International Blues Challenge' in 1995.

An artist of versatility, Geoff Achison effortlessly transitions between acoustic and electric styles. Whether delivering the full electrifying experience with The Souldiggers or mesmerizing the crowd with acoustic brilliance, Geoff's music is a fusion of blues, soul, funk, folk, country, and roots-rock.

Acknowledged in the Blues Music Victoria Hall Of Fame in 2020, Geoff Achison isn't just a blues maestro but also a revered teacher, inspiring the next wave of musicians. Don't miss an evening of captivating blues, entertaining anecdotes, and infectious humor on April 28th! 🎢🎀
